Ronnie Peterson
Ronnie Peterson from Örebro, is Sweden's most successful Formula 1 driver to date. He was often called "Superswede" and was known for his speed and agility on the court. He died on 11 September 1978 after a tragic crash during the Italian Grand Prix at the Monza circuit.
During his career he won a total of ten Grand Prix races and took a whopping 26 podiums. He finished second in the WC in 1971 and 1978, and won twice at Indianapolis.
